Yogi has issued a voluntary recall for some of our Echinacea Immune Support Tea. (Closed Recall)
Yogi has the honor of serving over 1.5 billion cups of tea to consumers each year. As a company that takes pride in selling organic products and relies on organic farming practices, we are mindful of this responsibility.
How Can We Help You?
As part of routine audit procedures, we previously detected unexpected traces of pesticides in some of our Echinacea Immune Support tea.
While Yogi does not use pesticides – buying only to Organic Specifications that do not allow
conventional pesticide use – we exist within a complex agricultural and supply chain network.
For example, if a neighboring farm is applying pesticides or chemical fertilizers, those applications may drift onto our farmers’ organic land.
While the traces of pesticides found in the Echinacea posed no risk of harm or illness, the product did not meet the high-quality standards our consumers have come to expect from us. Out of an abundance of caution, we immediately notified the U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA) to initiate voluntary recall procedures.
We have followed FDA protocols and worked with our retail partners to remove affected products from store shelves and to have them returned to us for disposal.
We’re happy to confirm that we have secured a new Echinacea supplier and have already started to produce and ship our Echinacea Immune Support tea again.
In addition, we are working with all ingredient vendors to ensure full compliance with our supplier expectations and testing requirements.
We also have engaged new partners to add additional testing capabilities across all of our products.
To confirm that your new Echinacea Immune Support cartons are not included in our recall, look for cartons stamped with a Best Before Date of 7 May 2026 or later.

The Best Before Date and Lot # information is located on the same side of the carton as the yoga pose. See the area indicated by the red circle in the image below:
